Screening of Criminal Conspiracy

Choi Seungho’s new documentary film, Criminal Conspiracy 공범자들.

During the Lee Myung-Bak presidency Public Broadcasting in South Korea came under heavy government control and censorship. The networks carry false reports about the Sewol Ferry disaster in 2014 and also try to hide the truth about a major corruption scandal in a failed attempt to prevent the impeachment of former president Park Guen-Hye.

Director Choi Seung-Ho attempts to reveal those responsible for media control reminiscent of South Korea’s dictatorship era in what is nominally a liberal democracy.
